Three measurable changes

What is different the day after

You will not see the treatment. These are the three things you can actually observe once it has cured.

Rain runs off instead of soaking in

The most visible change, and the one most homeowners notice in the first storm. Water beads and sheds rather than sitting in the shingle mat waiting for the temperature to drop.

Granule loss slows down

Check your gutters and downspouts after a hard rain. The gritty sediment that collects there is your roof's UV protection, and locking it back down is a large part of the job.

Streaking stops spreading

Black algae feeds on the limestone filler in shingles and needs a damp surface to spread. A roof that sheds water is a far less hospitable place for it to get going.
