Grouped so you can find yours quickly. If it isn't here, call and ask — you'll get a person, not a script.
No, and the difference is the whole point. Paints and elastomeric sealers form a film across the top of the shingle. On an asphalt roof that traps moisture underneath, stops the shingle drying out after rain or dew, and eventually blisters or peels — which is exactly why the roofing industry warns against painting shingles.
Our treatment is a liquid carrying particles measured in nanometres. They travel down into the shingle mat and bond with the asphalt from inside. There is no film, nothing to peel, and no change to how your roof breathes.
Your shingles keep their colour and texture. Most homeowners cannot tell from the street that anything has been done. What you notice is behaviour — water beading and running off instead of soaking in, and black streaking stopping in its tracks.
A water-based nanotechnology formulation. The active particles are roughly 40 to 60 nanometres across; for scale a human hair is around 80,000 nanometres. Full product and safety documentation is available on request before you book.
Landscaping, siding, windows and driveways are covered before anything is applied, and the roof is the only surface treated. Once cured, the roof is inert. We ask that people and pets stay clear of the immediate work area on the day, as with any roof work.
The protection is designed to run for the length of the warranty term your roof qualifies for. Roofs can be re-treated later to extend protection further — but that is a conversation for many years from now, not part of this one.
Broadly: asphalt shingle roofs that are aging rather than failing. Dry, faded, shedding some granule, but sound underneath. Roofs with active leaks, missing or torn sections, or soft decking need repair or replacement, and we will tell you so.
Age is a starting point but not the answer. A shaded, well-ventilated 18-year roof can be in better shape than a south-facing 9-year one. The free inspection is what settles it.
No. Shingles start losing oils from the day they go on, and treating early is the cheapest protection available — the shingle never gets brittle in the first place. Newer roofs qualify for our new-roof protection level.
Possibly, but not automatically. Some twenty-year roofs are still sound and qualify for a shorter life-extension treatment that buys back several usable years. Others are genuinely finished. That is exactly the call the inspection makes.
Our residential work is focused on asphalt shingle roofs. Call and describe what you have — if it isn't something we treat, we'll say so quickly rather than book a visit for nothing.
That's algae, and it's very common on north-facing slopes in a river valley. It feeds on the limestone filler in shingles and gradually loosens granules. Treatment makes the surface far less hospitable to it and stops the spread.
A meaningful fraction of what replacement costs, and the gap widens on larger and steeper roofs. For context, replacing a roof in Davenport currently averages around $10,204, with most Quad Cities homes falling between $8,400 and $15,000.
We do not quote over the phone, because a number given without seeing your roof is a guess. Your written quote comes at the free inspection with no obligation attached.
Qualifying full restorations carry a warranty of up to 15 years on the treatment. Shorter terms apply to older roofs treated for life extension. The exact term is set at the inspection, and the full written terms are in your hands before you agree to anything.
Yes. The remaining term transfers to the new owner, which is worth having in the file when you list.
Usually not, and we would rather be straight about that. Home insurance covers sudden damage from a covered peril — wind, hail, a fallen tree — minus your deductible. Age-related wear is specifically excluded. Restoration is maintenance, so it typically comes out of pocket.
Where it can matter: older roofs are often settled at actual cash value rather than replacement cost, so a well-maintained roof protects the value of any future claim. Talk to your own agent about your policy specifically — we are not insurance advisors.
Ask at the inspection. Options change, and we would rather tell you what is genuinely available at the time than list something here that has since expired.
It is free, and the catch is that we hope you like the answer enough to book. If the answer is that your roof doesn't need us, you have lost nothing and we've lost an hour. That trade has worked out fine for us so far.
Not for the work itself, though most people like to be there at the start and the end. For the inspection it helps if someone is around so we can walk you through the photographs while we are still standing there.
Most Quad Cities homes are done in a single day — typically two to four hours of application depending on roof size and pitch, plus prep and clean-up either side.
We move your date. The roof has to be dry going in and staying dry afterwards, and applying to a damp roof is the fastest way to get a poor result. We watch the forecast and would rather reschedule than rush it.
Call us. We are twenty minutes away, not two states, and the warranty is honoured by the same company that did the work. That is the main practical reason we keep the service area small.
Two minutes to answer a few questions about your roof. If it's a candidate, we'll come look at it for free and put a real number in your hand.
